Mardi Gras is not just one parade, it is several parades - in several different locations. And while Mardi Gras is officially the day before Ash Wednesday, Carnival is is celebrated for weeks prior, leading up to the big events in New Orleans.
Finding accomodations is still a problem, since the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Download this GPS map to keep from getting too disoriented during the festivities.
