Here is a list of coordinates for major cities in Iraq and a links to detailed maps (a text table of coordinates is also provided).

Use the city coordinates to calibrate maps and images in programs like FUGAWI.

The list of most populated cities and some city descriptions were found at GlobalSecurity.org (www.globalsecurity.org). The coordinates for the cites came from the World Geographic Names CD available from FUGAWI.

The map link below to the University of Texas Library Online is for one particularly detailed map. Check out www.lib.utexas.edu/maps for more maps of the Middle East and western Asia.

Check back regularly as this page and GPS data may be revised.
