through July is the best time for venturing out to the reefs. There
you'll catch King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Barracuda, Black Tip Shark
and Permit.
Early summer is also peak season for Tarpon cruising closer in to the beaches.
Sarasota Bay is home to several species of game fish: Snook, trout, and redfish. Other species frequently caught include Pompano, mackerel, bluefish, ladyfish, flounder, black drum and sheepshead.
