Bruce Trail
Featuring
The Niagara Escarpment
The
Bruce Trail stretches 850 km from Queenston Heights in the south to Tobermory
in the North.
The trail follows the cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment, a greenway of natural beauty coursing through an otherwise developed region.
The promontory shown at left is on the Niagara Escarpment - roughly at latitude 45, longitude 81.
Use this GPS data to assist with your navigation. On the Bruce Trail there
are numerous side trails and it is easy to get lost if you take a wrong
turn. Even while on the trail you may lose sight of the blazes. In winter
snow plastered trees can hide blazes and long stretches of monotonous scenery
can lull you into misadventure, especially if you happened to be deep in
conversation with fellow hikers :)
